Shutter Speed

I have always had an interest with long exposure or time lapse photography.  The fact that a single image can actually show something that has happened over an extended period of time fascinates me.  It's interesting how it shows something in a different way that you never realize was there all along.
Again, looking at photos in National Geographic, I especially liked ones with the urban setting and car trails. This is one of my first attempts at capturing car trails.

This was taken from a pedestrian overpass in Bellingham, WA over I-5.  It is actually a combination of several photos overlayed in Photoshop to make it appear there was more traffic (it was late and a quiet night).  The result is a little less favorable, but it was all I had to work with.
